Rapid Response is a strategy designed to respond to layoffs and plant closings by quickly coordinating services and providing immediate aid to affected companies and their workers. Most states have an individual designated to coordinate this initiative among relevant agencies -- often referred to as the State Rapid Response Coordinator.
